Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful.
The washer and dryer are new and super nice they saved us!
Favorite places that we found.
The home had tons of beach toys for the kids, a couple camping chairs, and tons of nice beach towels.Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.Plastic pollution is suffocating our ocean and the many animals that call it home. One restaurant, one customer at a time, increases awareness, drives change in behavior and ultimately creates scalable impact to reduce our plastic (and water!) footprint.I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. The home was super clean and nice with the normal ocean problems (rusty door hinges, humidity damage, etc). The Elephant Shack at north shore was the best Thai food I have ever had.Grew up here most of my life.It has all the appliances and utensils you would need in a kitchen with a few spices. There are 2 or 3 nice grocery stores near by which are perfect for shopping - expensive but that is to be expected. This pollution is impacting our marine ecosystems, wildlife such as seabirds, dolphins, fish, and turtles, and plastic fragments are even displacing plankton at the base of the food chain.
I loved that this place was off the beaten path - we felt so secluded and not "touristy" at all.
We slept and changed upstairs and then spent most of our time downstairs where we cooked and hung out.
It's way too crowded for me but I'm an introvert.
Also you have to go the Polynesian Cultural Center the luau was okay but the villiages were bwin poker tickets so fun!
The beach was perfect for the kids because the rock wall a few yards out stopped the waves but if you want the waves you can walk up the beach and sandy beaches are 50 yards away. You have to go to Papa Ole's and have their macadamia nut pancakes for breakfast.Reviewer Comments: My husband and I and our 2 toddlers (2 3) stayed at this home for 10 days and it was magic! The beach is directly across the street as is the.People love going to downtown HB for the variety of restaurants, bars, shops and also people watching. Its simple: we need to stop the problem at its source! We hiked almost every day some our faves were the Haaula Loop (2 minutes from the house Kaena Point, and Waimea Falls. The home has typical kitchen cleaners, dish detergent, laundry detergent, and TP but you will need to buy paper plates, napkins, etc if you want stuff like that. The pictures don't do it justice. The vacation rental was very clean. So whats the best way to combat this global epidemic facing our ocean?I was very happy with the location.
Ken's Fresh Fish is a random food truck on the side of the road but has the most amazing fried fish and poke.
